Applications that Test Lens Selection

Milind Borkar, Infinova Vice President – Middle East, India and Africa

Why spend time on lenses, since some cameras already come with one?  In crucial applications, solutions include the integrator’s selection of a different lens for each camera based on the scene and lighting.

There is a difference between the lens needed for a standard analog camera watching over a general store, the 1.3 megapixel lens covering the parking lot, and the 3.0 megapixel lens providing surveillance at a correctional institution.

What about those nasty shadows, glares, reflections and direct sunlight that turn captured images into darkness or wash them into a brilliant, undetectable white?  An all-digital technology can provide Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) in which each of the hundreds of thousands of pixels acts like an individual, self-adjusting camera.

Covering large areas is a prime use of megapixel cameras.  The camera has to enable image magnification (digital zoom) at any part of the image.  Using an ultra wide angle lens without fisheye distortion will provide a super wide field of view with better resolution at the image edges than a lens that has barrel distortion.

«EXPRESS GSM» an innovative device of GSM-guard

"Siberian Arsenal", the leader of Russian security system market has designed an innovative and demanded device for a wide range of customers called GSM motion detector «EXPRESS GSM».

What is the GSM motion detector?

It is an infrared volume detector combined with GSM-communicator. Built-in radio module allows to operate with remote controllers (turn on/off the protection mode).

«EXPRESS GSM» operates very easily

It detects movements within a protected area and transmits an alarm to the owner by calling mobile phone and sending SMS messages.

How does it work?

The setting of the detector does not take more than 5 minutes. You only need to insert a SIM-card and a battery into the «EXPRESS GSM», call to that number from your mobile phone and press the remote controller button. The «EXPRESS GSM» is ready to work.

The motion detector «EXPRESS GSM» is powered with one Li-battery.

One battery is enough for at least 6 months. The reason of such efficiency is that the main power-consuming part – GSM-module is switched on only when an alarm message should be sent.

«EXPRESS GSM» is actually needed device of GSM-alarm. And the reasonable price increases its attractiveness.
